Some Small businesses have the time, money, and resources to invest in on-site IT personnel, but most don’t. It is a big investment. This is where partnering with an experienced IT Support firm can really pay off. You may have employees in-office or you may have a team working remotely due to the pandemic. You need support that can take care of everyone in your organization while taking care of the data security of the business itself. This is where your IT partner comes into play. They are someone you can rely on 24/7 and someone who will be there for you during a pandemic or any other disaster.

What does an IT Support company do?

Normally an IT Support company will monitor your network and devices, back up your data and disaster recovery actions, provide customer service, and fix regular It problems.

On the other side, we have Managed IT Services company, this is a model where the IT services company takes the role of your “IT department” and not only installs and supports all the devices and PCs that connect to your server(s), but also offers phone and on-site support, antivirus, security, backup and a host of other services to monitor and maintain the health, speed, performance, and security of your computer network.

Managed services essentially offer complete IT support without having to hire dedicated in-house IT support staff. You get full-time access to network and technology experts without having to pay a full-time team. In other words, you save money and you have someone keeping a close eye on your network. The good news is, the IT company you already work with may already offer managed services — you just have to ask for it! (If you don’t work with an IT support company or managed service provider (MSP), it’s highly recommended that you do!)

What services do IT companies offer?

It offers you TIME. This is the most precious commodity of all. If you’re running around dealing with network issues yourself, you’re spending a lot of time doing everything you DIDN’T want to be doing when you started your business. Wouldn’t you rather be focused on taking care of the things that you intended to focus on, like growing your business and taking care of customers?

When you bring managed IT into the fold, you have so much less to worry about. The Services that an IT company provide are:

  • Managed It Services

  • On-site It Support

  • Cybersecurity

  • Cloud computing or remote workforce solutions

  • Data Storage

  • VoIP Service

  • Co-Managed IT

  • Help Desk Support

  • Network set up and monitoring

How much should I pay for IT support?

According to our research, It Support services average cost per month is between $4,192 and $5,000. But after the company decides to work with us the average can be $1,181. The cost of the It Services will variate based on the solutions you are paying for.

Final Warning! In order to truly compare the “cost” of IT services contract to another, you need to make sure you fully understand what IS and ISN’T included AND the “SLA” or “service level agreement” you are signing up for. It’s VERY easy for one IT services provider to appear far less expensive than another UNTIL you look closely at what you are getting.
